Quick Update
Hey there!
I'm just popping in to give you a quick update.
You might have noticed that this email looks a little different from the previous ones, and that's because I've switched to a platform called Substack.
I've decided to make the switch because of the increased functionality that Substack offers for both me as the writer, and you as the reader.
For example, one of the features I love most about Substack is that it includes an archive of all emails that I send out, so you can easily access them anytime instead of having to search through your entire email inbox (yay!).
It also allows you to leave comments on posts, and for me to easily embed audio or video (which I plan to incorporate in the future).
Overall it allows for a more interactive, community-centered experience which is what I'm striving for. I truly LOVE sharing research and recipes to help you live and age well, and I want to cultivate a community of like-minded individuals who are also committed to living their healthiest disease-free lives.
I've been sending out free weekly emails for nearly 3 years now (since November 2021), and if you've been following along since then you know that I'm committed to this work and that I truly put my heart into each email that I write because I value you and your health.
I've been thinking about making this change for over a year now, and it finally feels like the right time to do so.
So from today on, my weekly Monday emails will be coming from the Substack platform.
Here's what to expect:
Substack is a paid email platform similar to a membership, that has a few different tiers for you to choose from:
Free subscribers have access to the first post of the month, plus a preview of all other posts that are sent out each Monday.
Paying subscribers get full access to all weekly posts and the publication archives (so you can always go back to view all posts and recipes that have been published!). Paying subscribers are also able to leave comments which I personally read and respond to. The cost is $10 per month or $100 annually.
Founding members get live monthly cooking classes and a live monthly masterclass/Q&A in addition to the benefits that paying subscribers receive. Each month we’ll come together via Zoom to cook a recipe that supports longevity during the cooking class, and to cover a specific topic relating to health/longevity in the masterclass. Both the cooking classes and monthly masterclasses will be recorded in case you can’t make it live. The Founding Member plan is $175 annually (around $14/month).
The first cooking class for founding members will be held on Tuesday October 22nd. I will send out an email to all founding members a week prior with the recipe, ingredients, and Zoom link. The cooking classes will be around 45-60 minutes and focus on recipes that support longevity. They're intended to be casual, fun, and interactive - a place for us to connect, ask questions, and make good food!
The first masterclass/Q&A for founding members is planned for Tuesday October 29th covering supplements. I will send out an email a few days prior so that you can ask any questions about supplements that you'd like for me to cover! Feel free to bring supplements you're currently taking for me to personally review and provide feedback on.
Next Steps
No action is required or expected on your end (you'll continue to receive 1 email per month as a free subscriber).
